5.FLORISTIC ANALYSIS OF MALLIKARJUN HILLS OF WALWA FROM SANGLI DISTRICT (MS) INDIA BY ILAHI MUJAWAR
Abstract
The Investigation was carried out in order to know the plant wealth of Mallikarjun Hills of walwa from
Sangli District. The floristic analysis of studied area comprising of 235 species representing 184 genera
belonging to 65 families of flowering plants, of which 55 families under dicotyledons (84.61 %) and 10
families under monocotyledons (15.39 %). The herbaceous flora is dominant, with 120 species (51.06 %)
followed by shrub with 59 species (25.10 %), Trees with 41 species (17.44 %) and climbers with 15
species (6.38 %).
