- The use of natural dyes in the textile industry has gained popularity due to their potential environmental benefits. This research project aims to address these challenges of widespread adoption, including the availability of suitable dye sources and issues with colorfastness by extracting and analyzing a natural dye from pressed grapes for use in textile dyeing. The extraction method involved the use of a solvent to extract the dye from the grape waste, followed by purification and concentration steps. The extracted dye were applied to textile samples and evaluated for its colorfastness, and the sustainability of the dye. The results of the research demonstrate the feasibility of extracting and using a natural dye from a readily available and sustainable source, and provide insight into the potential benefits and challenges of using natural dyes in the textile industry
