12. STUDY OF ANGIOSPERMIC PLANTS IN WILD ASS SANCTUARY by G. P. ZALA AND N. K. PATEL
Abstract
Wild ass sanctuary is one of sanctuary from 441 animal sanctuaries in India. The sanctuary is one of the last places on earth where the endangered wild ass sub-species Indian Wild Ass (Khur) (Equus hemionus khur) belonging to Asiatic wild ass species Onager (Equus hemionus) can be spotted. Wild ass sanctuary is well known for wild ass and rich in vegetation. The study was carried out in the area. Over 291 plants belonging to more than 65 families were observed.
