Abstract
Nature conservation is a very ancient tradition in India. Useful animal and plant species have much reverence in Hindu culture. Forest pockets preserved on religious grounds are known as sacred groves. Cutting plants or harassing animals is a taboo. These forest pockets show optimum growth of vegetation. This paper deals with observation of three sacred groves are detailed here, viz, kedar sacred grove, Bhairavnath sacred grove and Hanumandada sacred grove belongs to Kedar forest range of Kheda district.
