9.DECOLORIZATION OF REACTIVE ORANGE - 16 BY SERRATIA MARCESCENS BY NIDHI GONDALIYA AND SAMIR PARIKH
Abstract
Vast ethnobotanical knowledge exits in India from ancient time. Written records of the use of plants for
curing human or animal diseases in India can be tracked back to the earliest scripture of the HINDUS, the
Rigveda. Ayurveda the Indian indigenous system of medicine, dating back to the Vedic ages, has been in
integral part of Indian culture. Ethnobotanical investigation has led to the documentation of a large
number of wild plants used by tribals for meeting their multifarious requirements. During the research
work total 134 plants were found which were ethnobotanically important in research area.
