Landscape changes due to habitat alteration and fragmentation can lead to complex shifts in biodiversity particularly in urban ecosystems. The present study comparatively assesses avian diversity across four heterogeneous habitats: agriculture university, slaughter house, circuit house and uparkot fort in Junagadh, Gujarat, India. This study was carried out from March 2022 to February 2023 that serves as urban green space and offers a unique opportunity to explore avian diversity. In avifaunal diversity, a total 74 species of birds belonging to 37 families and 16 orders were recorded from the selected sites. The rich avifaunal diversity highlights its role as a suitable habitat for resident bird populations. This study contributes valuable insights into the avian diversity in urban environments that provides essential information for conservationists and local authorities working to preserve ecological balance in the Junagadh urban region
