Abstract
A fixed plot field experiment was carried out during kharif and spring seasons of 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 at New Delhi, to study the “effect of sunflower stover and nutrients management on soil pH at different growth stages of pigeonpea under pigeonpea-sunflower cropping system’’. The results reveal that sunflower stover incorporation significantly reduced the soil pH as compared to control (no stover incorporation). Among the P levels, maximum reduction in soil pH was noticed with the 15 kg P/ha+PSB. Residual effect of NP applied to preceding sunflower crop was failed to affect the soil pH.
KEY WORD: Sunflower stover incorporation, Pigeonpea, Soil pH.
