10. ETHNO-VETERINARY MEDICINAL PLANT RESOURCES FOR WOUND HEALING AND MAGGOTY WOUND FROM BHOR REGION, PUNE DISTRICT, MAHARASHTRA by 1.P B KAMBLE AND 2. D K KULKARNI
Abstract
Rural people from Bhor region have utilized 36 Ethno-veterinary Medicinal plant resources for animal health care. 16 different ailments were recorded from the area. The present work deals with different ethno-veterinary practices performed by local farmers and Vaidus to treat their livestock. The enumeration of EVM plants for wound healing and maggoty wound are listed with their plant parts along with different ingredients. Ethno-veterinary medicinal are reported for the first time from Bhor region which are belong to 25 families and 33 genera.
