8.PHYTODIVERSITY SURVEY OF ROADSIDE HERBS AND THEIR ETHNO-MEDICINAL VALUES IN AND AROUND ROURKELA STEEL TOWNSHIP, SUNDARGARH, ODISHA BY S.N.MALLICK AND B.C.ACHARYA
Abstract
In present paper annual herbs are studied which grow commonly roadside for which they get destroyed by
different causes before knowing their medicinal values. In this paper 27 herbs are studied under 21
families which having highly medicinal values of different disease and disorders still used by villagers
present in and around Rourkela. The herbs growing near roadsides are annual and they get most affected
by the pollution, people, cattles etc. Therefore steps have taken to study and record their medicinal values
before these herbs going destroyed.
